We each have different learning styles. It would be very helpful to have the text transcript for each video. Is that available?

How do I check the Socrates Version and then download the new one?

  2. admin says:

Robert, I’m sorry I do not have transcripts. If you have specific questions the forum is a great place to search and ask them.

Thanks, I have setup a blog (veryinvolvedparents.com) based on your video guide.

May I know what pinging services you are using for your WordPress?

  4. Dan Nickerson says:

We use the default ping service for wordpress.

I love this theme, I’m telling everybody I know to check out my new and improved site. Thank you for the theme – love the features.

I have an error when looking for Posts from the menu. The system says looking for something that is not there. This was happened after changing template to larger sidebar and installing Total Traffic Annihilation and the Facebook link plugin. Have removed the facebook one but still have the problem.

    Any ideas? http://www.choosingagift.com

The comments section is for the comments, the forum is much better suited for support question we state above the comment box. Can you please post the question there?

I can’t find any place to download 2.3. The only downloads link I can find is for 2.1. I was told to get it on the “users” page but I cannot find it. Can you provide a link or a url?
    Thanx
    Wayne

  9. Dan Nickerson says:

Wayne, who told you to get 2.3? I recommend you use 2.1. If you have a specific reason for 2.3 I can get you a link. (sorry, I meant to say 2.03)

  10. This was pretty helpful. I just paused it and did each step and voila, my site was done at the end of the video. Now I can just tweak it.

URGENT: I activated Socrates 2.03 – I’ve done this before on existing blogs, which is what this is. I thought I’d get the license request as I have before. Instead I now get this on every page I try to open:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_nav_menus() in /home/yourinne/public_html/wp-content/themes/socrates/functions.php on line 30

I can’t activate the previous theme without getting the same result. My WP is not up to date, I think it’s about a 2.9.

My host company may have data backups, but I hope you can guide me to a way to reset this back to normal.

Ever since I first got Socrates the ne issue I was happiest about, aside from the software, was the great and quick response from Dan and his team.

I needed help last night at 11:00 PM due to a mistake I made. I figured I’d seen the answer this morning. Dan, not someone in a far away land, sent me an email with the possible solutions at 11:22 pm.

While we can’t expect that all the time, right Dan? It’s in keeping with the great service I’ve come to expect from anything he or Joel Comm have to offer.

  13. Socrates Admin says:

Tom, you’re welcome.. but you actually sent at 11:19 and I replied at 11:22.. :) I don’t want people to think I’m slacking with a 22 minute reply on a Sunday night.
