Hi,

Does anyone know how to set a certain post as a home page as I want my site to look more like a web site than a blog. I have tried creating a static page and including my post text in it as there is a way in the reading panel to select a page, but this does not show predefined adsense like a post does ?

Any assistance would be gratefully recieved.

Paul

You can set the post as "sticky". Do a quick edit on the post and there will be an option to set the sticky flag.

Lynn,
Can you give a bit more detail?

I've copied and pasted everything I put on my my home page, (http://www.shrekcostumeideas.com/)

into a post, made it a sticky, but then how do I make it my home page, instead of the original one I made in the pages section?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Change from static home page back to showing posts in the WordPress Settings Reading page.

Thanks Lynn,

I tried that, but then my home page showed all my post including private pages...

Bummer,

But thanks for your help.

On the Settings Reading page you can limit the number of posts shown on the home page.
