Hi there,

I just installed the v2.01b version of Socrates theme on wordpress v2.9.2 and receive an 'Internal Server Error (500)' when trying to click on 'Socrates'.

The sysadmin of the server hasn't been able to spot anything in the logs (though there could still be something wrong at that end), however on immediate inspection I notice the following. The 'Socrates' link points to:

Is this correct? Shouldn't it be more like:

Although even when I try the latter, I still receive the error.

is this a bug?

Did you install via FTP or the wordpress dashboard? If FTP try the dashboard.

I'll point this out to Jon.. I see same thing on my install, but it works fine for me.

thank you

I strongly suspect the reason for the 500 error is to do with my servers configuration then .. on to the sysadmin.

Try changing these lines in the functions.php file:

function socrates_admin_menu() {
$path = get_bloginfo( 'template_directory' );

To this:

function socrates_admin_menu() {
$path = '';

If you've modified the code the error would be due to a misformatted line of code.

Just reinstall using our upgrade instructions.
