Comment Box

I cannot get a comment box to appear after my post. I have turned on Post Display settings, and allow people to post comments in the Discussion Settings page.

After I save and refresh, no comment box appears. There is a link at the top of my post which says No Comments. When I click on it an Edit link appears at the bottom of the post. When I click Edit it takes me to the edit post page. Not something I want visitors to be able to do. (This is all in two separate windows)

Any help would be appreciated.

Did you check the post when in quick edit that the box to allow comments has been checked?

Go to Dashboard> Post> then hover over the post title, select quick edit and look to the right and there will be an allow comments box.
