full post

I've seen a thread for this subject but it didn't really answer the question I have. I want to display my full post on the main page but I can't figure out how to do it.

At the bottom of my post it says: "read the rest of this entry" I just want the full post.

I have gone to the theme editor and it looks like it is already configured to display full post, yet it's not.

I'm not terribly technical but I can follow simple directions so any help would be appreciated.

Please post the URL for your site. Do you want the same post to be shown as your home page all of the time? If so and you want it to be a post rather than a page, you can make the post "sticky" by doing a quick edit of the post and checking the sticky checkbox.
