You need to wrap a bit of HTML around the image:
<a href="www.destinationdomain.com/page_you_want_them_to_go_to"><img src="/your_image_name"></a>

replace the bold text with the destination for the link and the name of the image file for the picture.

You can also look here

http://www.socratestheme.com/downloads/affiliates/

This is the affiliate page for promoting Socrates. You can look in the code boxes and see exactly what your code needs to look like. Even easier if you're using Clickbank.

Also - in that destination url you would include the affiliate code as part of the link. You should get that link from whatever site you are acting as an affiliate for since each site encodes there affiliate code in the link a little differently.

Tequila Jack,

I agree Lynn and Eric are doing a fantastic job.

I barely have time to respond before they do these days which is really freeing me up to get other Socrates stuff done.

Jack,

I improved it but I'm not positive if the affiliate link is right or not. Do you have the means to test it?

Ok first of all that's amazing, and thank you very much. To answer your question, i send the link to the aff company i work withand askd to review it if it's ok (correct) like that. So i'll have an answer for you by tomorrow i think.
if it's alright like that then please email me or post it here how you did that. :)
Best,
Jack

What you had there in the link was the entire code for a linked button including the image. All that needs to go in the link is the actual URL of the destination site with whatever arguments the destination needs to identify you as the affiliate.

Eum thanks Lynnth but i looked at the code you changed and i don't understand what you changed, sorry but i'm a noob when it comes to coding and html, i see a whole piece of code that's been added but can't figure out what to put where, again sorry.

Thierry

The part that goes in the link will look something like http://domain.com/page?var=something

var will be whatever variable name they are looking for for the affiliate ID and something will be your affiliate ID
