I cannot access my wp admin after socrates installation

After I've installed the latest socrates theme, I cannot access my wp admin. Here it is what I get:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_nav_menus() in /home/redrose/public_html/cysticacneinfo.com/wp-content/themes/socrates/functions.php on line 30

You need to upgrade your wordpress install.

You must be using a version prior to 3.0 which is not a good idea. You should also keep wordpress up to date.. and this will activate the nav menu feature wordpress added in 3.0
