BMI Calculator looks great on Firefox; but shows twice on IE?

I installed the free CDC (Center for Disease Control) BMI Calculator on my site; and it looks perfect when viewed on Firefox... (in the lower Right Hand column).

But when going to my site using Internet Explorer, there are two (2) showing... one on top of the other(?).

I'm a novice with HTML... Any suggestions?

Puse las entradas en categoria Feature

No se que me falta para lograr que se muestre la Revista 1

But why is the jquerry (the feature image) not showing up on my home page?

You see that on this page, all my content are exposed, I don't want that. I want to make my home page looks like this site here: http://iwasinacaraccident.com/
where not all the content showing and people need to click on the read more link to see all the content?

How to change socrates theme name

Hi,

I don't want to show socrates theme name in the view source / page source.

So I tried to rename socrates folder to "mytheme" at public_html/wp-content/themes/

It worked but the header is not showing, I got an error: Warning: move_uploaded_file(../wp-content/themes/socrates/header-images/uploads/header.jpg) [function.move-uploaded-file]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/wp-content/themes/mytheme/functions/panel/themeoptions.php on line 493

How do I change http://www.domainname.com/wp-content/themes/themename/style.css

uploaded 3.4 for the first time...can't see how to place in the activation code

Hi...
I am feeling a little foolish. I have used the 2.3 verson of socrates for years now. But have created a new site and uploaded the new 3.4 version. Normally before you begin to tackle the layout you are asked to activate the theme with your activation code. This hasnt happened. So I dont know where to activate the theme?

Would appreciate a little help here so I can get on with building my site.

Google Analytics error message

I am working on several websites. I'm using the Socrates theme on all of them. I installed my GA code on all of them (in the Analytics HTML box) however I'm still getting the "tracking not installed" message in my GA!?!?

I searched google and found instructions that had me to go to one of my sites, right click, and look at the source code. I did that and the analytics code is there.

Any suggestions?

Footer & Category Box

Hi,

I am new to website design and I do not know html code. That said, I'm struggling with inserting a footer. I read the previous forum posts but I wonder if I need to know html to insert a footer.

Also, I added a widget on my right side bar for my category drop down box but the box extended well past the right side of the page. Is there a way to shorten the box to have it flush with the border?

Problems re Activation Code...

Hi Support, I purchased the Socrates WP Theme as per...

[Yes! somewhat slow out of the starting blocks --- but this will be a marathon for me]

I am having problems finding/obtaining my Activation code. I have watched Video1 but when logged in to the Membership area. and click onto the "Get Activation Code" I receive the following message.

I’m sorry, you need to be a registered member to access this area.
If you’re not a member you can get access by purchasing Socrates. (I have already purchased same)
Members can login by Clicking here. (I am already logged into the Members area)

It all does not make sense to me... Yes! I am a 73old "newbie" bumbling around.

I registered for the Forum... and in a "Welcome Email" received the following info...
Your Username is: xtra
Your Activation ID is: 2978e1bc6ac4767592ed8993f6fcc765ffdf6930 Is this for the Forum -- or is this for activation of the Socrates WP Theme?

I already have a Hostgator Account... Is it absolutely necessary to install the Socrates theme on BlueHost? or just a marketing affiliate income benefit for the owners of ST.? Secondly, Do I need to be logged into my hosting account to upload the Socrates WP Theme.

I can see the benefits of starting afresh on a new hosting account. Can existing WP sites be transferred to the Socrates Theme?

Hi, I used the trial of Socrates, but my boss decided that it would take too long to make it look how it was before Socrates. I deactivated Socrates and uninstalled it. The website was back to normal for a couple of days, but then the site reverted back to no formatting.

Please help! I'm in a lot of trouble if I cant get the problem fixed!

220x90 Ad Rotation

I use the 728x90 monetization bar for AdSense only, and I don't want it rotating regularly to avoid issues with impression rate. However, I use the 220x90 spot for Amazon products and I would like to rotate those ads on about a 20 second interval. I see where to set the rotation delay, but it seems to set both ad spots.

Is there a way to only rotate the 220x90 spot without affecting the 728x90? If Socrates doesn't provide a method, can you suggest a plugin or other resource I could use that would be able to dynamically change the content in 220x90 spot?

Posts vs. Magazine 1

Hello,
I have an issue which I will try and explain the best I can. I have set up a website with different menu buttons. I have set one of the menu buttons to "About Us" section that is set to Magazine Style 1, following the video tutorials. It looks really nice! Now the issue I am having is when I want to post to another section of the website, the post also shows up in the "about us" section. I have tried using different categories and page templets and it still shows up in the other section where it is not wanted. Just FYI the front page is set to static. I really need these to post to where I tell it to post, so the post will show in the "recent post field" on the home page, so it can not be a simple page. Do you know how to accomplish this or have any other idea's.
