    Default Sales Page and Opt-ins

Trying to use the sales page theme and have a number of probs:
First is it possible to upload another template? I've tried copying the source html from a webpage, but it pretty much scrambles when pasted into wp/sales page. It completely screws up the format.
Otherwise because the design tools are limited, I've now had to upload my page in image(jpeg) blocks and its really laborious.
Second, I want my a weber opt-in box IN the sales page, but if I try this the code again gets scrambled. Is this a wp prob or is it a prob with the Socrates theme? Most people, I would imagine , would want an opt-in/download box to be in the page rather than in a sidebar.

    Cheers for any help

Are you sure you are pasting the HTML into the HTML view of the editor. The default is the WYSIWYG view. You need to select the HTML view at the top of he editor before pasting.

    Hi Lynn
yes I'm definitely pasting into the html box. What I've just discovered after all this time is that you should stay in html, and check the preview. I was switching from html to the image box to preview and THAT's how it can all go pear shaped. And I've been using wp for months! So, a word of caution to others

In my opinion the greatest program in the history of computing is Notepad.

If you're going to copy source code, make sure you paste it in Notepad first to strip out any formatting issues. That's why it looked jumbled.

I literally use Notepad 50 times a day.
