Page order
Hi again,
When I add a new page and give it an order number and update, the page orders remain in alpha order.
Can you suggest how I change this or what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks

Hi Sheridan
Hi Sheridan
Did you clear your browser cache, maybe you are getting a cached page?

Wordpress doesn't handle page ordering particularly well which is why I always resort to a plugin called 'My Page Order' to deal with this for me.
It gives you a simple drag and drop method of re-arranging your pages.
There are also related plugins called 'My Category Order', 'My Link Order' and 'Postmash' that do the same for categories, links and posts.
These go on just about every blog I create to make things easier.

Phil, thanks for this post, all very useful plugins

I have tried my links order and I cannot seem to get it to work. I can drag the links to re order them, update, but the link order does not change on my site. I have tried clearing my cache, any other ideas as to why it may not be working?

This plugin works fine for me on all the blogs I have it on.
Have you read the instructions for use, and are using the My Links Order widget?
You can find them here:

Thanks Phil
I have an awful habit of not reading instructions (wife tells me it is a man thing lol)
Turns out I was not using the widget, once I did that, sorted
Much Obliged Phil, thanks so much
