Can't install Socrates

I have written the forum before but wasn't clear in my explanation of the problem. I have created an MP4 video to explain the issue. It can be viewed at

In the video you show multiple wordpress themes uploaded, so it's not a socrates issue but a path issue of some sort.

This path doesn't exist as well but comes up 404

If it was in the right directory it would show the style.css file.

All I can suggest is to send me FTP access via Private Message
and I'll look at your structure.

First two questions.

1. Do you have any other domains on that account? Are you sure you didn't
upload to another domain directory?

2. Is there a reason you used FTP instead of following our install directions?

First of all thanks for responding so quickly.

I will do my best to answer your questions:

1) I am fairly certain Socrates was installed in the correct Wordpress theme directory.

2)I have successfully installed Socrates after converting it to a zip file and using the method you suggested in your video.

I have used filezilla for years and have not experienced any problems with it.

I would suggest you put a text document on your website called Installation instructions and include the .txt file in the download.

1. Don't you find it odd that you have a few other themes in that same directory which aren't appearing either?

2. There's no reason to convert it or even touch it on your computer. Only to upload it via wordpress dashboard.

It's fine to use filezilla, but you can run into permission problems with some directories and upload and installing via dashboard takes 10 seconds.

Honestly this has never been an issue with over 5000 customers and we already have instructions right on the download page.

If you'd like to PM me a wordpress and FTP login I'm sure I can resolve the issue very quickly.
