How can I get rid of the white above the monetization bar.

I feel like I'm talking to myself here. I won't be back.

Jim, I'm sorry no one responded within a couple of hours. I'm on mountain time myself, so just got here.
You turned off the main navigation panel. You can turn it back on, or the simplest way to get rid of the space is to edit your style.css
goto appearance > style.css
And change
.im-nav { position:relative; background:url(images/completeNavBg.png) no-repeat; background-position:-5px 0px; width:980px; height:46px;
to
.im-nav { position:relative; background:url(images/completeNavBg.png) no-repeat; background-position:-5px 0px; width:980px; height:0px;

I took a quick look, but so far I can't tell if it is a case of the header not being tall enough (that is my first impression) or the Google Adsense being set to the wrong dimensions.

I replaced the text with
.im-nav { position:relative; background:url(images/completeNavBg.png) no-repeat; background-position:-5px 0px; width:980px; height:0px;
as you said but now the white space is just smaller and the navigation bar has lost its grey?
It is fairly messed up

Thanks

Richard, the mod above was only if someone turned off their primary navbar.
You should not have touched your code, because you're using your primary navbar. I would put the code back to the way it was.. There's no reason to use it.
