Selling eBooks or other digital type of stuff
Hi, all,
I probably won't do this for a while, but I'll probably want to sell an ebook, either one I write or a PLR type. Another group I am involved with provides code and instructions on setting up a sales page, squeeze page, download page that is protected. I know there are sales page templates, but I don't know how to put it all together so ordering is safe; I get paid, etc.
I hope I explained what I want to do. I think I want to sell something like an eBook and market it in a similar manner to promoting an affiliate link.
Thanks in advance,
tabithathecat

You can do all of this with Socrates. Salespage, Squeezepage, protected download area.
As far as starting an ebook.. I've got a product I sell which you might find helpful. And when you're ready we can show you how to do the salespath using Socrates.

Thanks, Dan, I may be doing something with ebooks sooner than I had thought. I stumbled on a site with links to all kinds of PLR items including eBooks. Don't know how reliable they are, but some may be ok.
Incidentally I really like Socrates and you keep making it better and better.

Hello Dan,
Wondering if you had the simple process of how to set up a product image with link to my CB hop link for a product I would like to promote from clickbank. As you presently do with Socrates as it rotates in the theme. As well where can I find your squeeze page template to associate with Awebber.
Thank you in advance
Pierre

Most Clickbank Vendors have an affiliate page where they give you image link code. An image link is usually in this format.
<a href="Your Affiliate Link"><img src="Your Banner Link"></a>
I'm not sure about your second question, but you can insert Aweber code into a Text Widget and Aweber also has a free plugin to help load optin forms.

On your site, how did you get the "products you might be interested in" list piece? Is that a plugin or did that come with socrates theme?

I'm not sure what site you're referring to.. but just add links to a link category.. then add a links widget, select that category and just title it. "Products you might be interested in"

How did that site http://www.piecesandbits.org/ get their hopad builder almost fit on the sidebar? like do you have a guess on how he or she did that?

They just changed the hopfeed width.. it's right in the code.

Hey Tabithathecat,
I had a similar situation a while ago where I purchased a complete e-commerce site that sold ebooks, the site looked great but it was a bit of a nightmare uploading it to my server using FTP basically because I had never done it that way before but I eventually got it done (Talk about doing it the hard way) the only thing I had to change with the package was entering my paypal details into the files. Since I've been using the Socrates Theme things are a lot easier like Dan said it has it's own squeeze page and sales page everything under one roof.
