Captcha Plugin

Hi I hope everyone is doing great!!

i am getting lots of spam in my comments. How do you recommend I handle this?

DO I need to install a captcha plugin, if so which one do you recommend?

Install a comment plugin like Akismet, it should be already installed... activated and get a key to use it.

I read that Akismet charges for their service so I thought it would be easier to add the captcha.

I'm new to blogging and found that I was receiving daily comment spam at www.besslee.com. I recently downloaded SI Catpcha from the WordPress plugin directory. It's free.

The spam stopped immediately and hasn't come back. It's been a few days now, and normally I received spam a couple of times a day.

yes, that is a great plug-in. It shuts down automated spam in a heartbeat.
