How to remove link from post title?

How do I edit a post title to no longer be a link?

In Appearance > Editor > single.php

Find

<h2><a href="<?php the_permalink() ?>" rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a></h2>

and change to:

<h2><?php the_title(); ?></a></h2>
