I've done it in your case but we keep members who upgraded to the unlimited from the 7daytrial for tracking purposes.
It's never been an issue before, I apologize if this caused confusion.

dear Dan,
i can not not upload the images for the header.i download 2.3. i choose one of the example images, but when i push the save button, i get a red cross above left in the header

Please post the URL for the site. We have a thread dedicated to header loading issues. It comes down to one of several things:
1) directory permissions
2) punctuation in the file name
3) socrates being installed in a directory names something other than socrates

Your path is write so it's most likly a permission issue on header-images/uploads or your media path is wrong
in Settings > Media
If uploading an image also make sure the filename is simple with no spaces or punctuation.

i dont upload a file from my own, but i want upload one of the images from socrates. When i : SELECT HEADER IMAGE, and i select one, i push on save and then appear a red cross in the left corner. lynn talks about uploading from the pc but i want upload a image who stand in socrates.

You should change your password immediately! Never post these details in a public forum. Once you have changed them you can send them to us via private message if you want us to look. It looks like it might be a directory permissions issue. I would need the access information for your cPanel to check that (only via private message please!).
