Widget Game
Hi,
What if I had the code for a game from Widgetbox which I am a member of and I wanted to put that on my site in the Optional Sidebar area. Is that possible?
Eagerly awaiting your response!
Earlier, I had tried to put the Clickbank HopAd in that area and it never would show up. I made sure that the WP Super Cache was NOT installed on my blog. So any ideas why that HopAd didn't show up?
Forgot to mention that I ALSO tried installing a Poll Widget on my site from the Plugin Sodahead Polls. I made sure I activated the plug in and that I confirmed my membership. Nothing worked. I'm really liking this template so far but I have so many other things I want to add on here, just too many issues right off the bat. Please help!!

What is the URL of the site and what widgets should currently be there? Is the text widget with the hopad still in a sidebar for us to look at?

Site and the Widget
my website is www.stresscankill.com
Right now on the optional sidebar it should be the Clickbank Hop Ad.
Thanks!

The optional sidebar is only used in the two sidebar layout. That is why you are not seeing anything you place into it.

If you don't use any widgets in the side bar, by default, WP puts the categories and stuff in there automatically. Once you add a widget, they go away.
If you wanted to have ads all down the side you could use a text widget for each one, which is what I do, or use 1 text widget and just enter html code one after the other. By using a text widget for each one, I feel you get better spacing between ads.

The WP125 plugin is also good if you want to display 125x125 ads.

Yes, that's correct. There is also a Category widget that you can add to continue to show your categories in the sidebar.

Don't try to over-think it. You can use one text widget with all of your ad code in it, or you can use one text widget for each of your ads. Play around with the settings and see what works for you.

You can paste multiple ads into one text box. Putting them into separate text boxes makes it easier to temporarily disable one or more by dragging the text widget over to the inactive section. The inactive widget section keeps all of the settings and contents of the widget.

I prefer each ad to have its own text widget. If I add a new ad or one is selling well and I want to move it to the top above the fold, its just easier to move widgets then find, cut and paste code.
