Socrates for Local Business Sites?

I have an opportunity to help several local businesses get on the web with their first site. I'm considering using Socrates/WP because it is quick and flexible. But that still leaves some design work to be done.

Is anyone else using S for this purpose, and are there any page templates/tutorials I could use to make my life even easier? There is already a contact form page, and I can use the squeeze page to capture leads. Anything else out there that could help me put a local site together using Socrates?

I would say you just named some yourself. I am doing the same thing here locally and I show the client some of my sites and explain to them what can be changed far as backgrounds, and colors etc. You will probably need to create a custom header for the particular business.

So just explain them their options and take it from there. Are you looking to streamline the process?

My work load is light enough where I just do them individually.

Thanks, Eric. I guess I was looking to streamline the process and not reinvent the wheel. Are there any examples of local business sites using Socrates you could point me to that I could use as a "template" or good example to model?

Small tip - you can get custom headers done cheaply on Fiverr.com
Make sure you check some previous work and feedback though
