    Can Socrates be made to add a favicon image in the browser address and tab bars?

    William, we don't have plans to install a favicon field, but you can upload a favicon one time to your root directory via FTP or a file manager and it will install.

    There are also plugins that will do this..

    FYI - I am using a free favicon plugin that works great on my Socrates theme:

    I uploaded my own favicon.ico but you can also choose from theirs. Read more on the plugin dowloand page here:

    Hope that helps.

    Default favicon debug

    I have a favicon.ico file in my root directory. It's not showing up. I read in one support forum that I need to put some code into the header.php file to make it show up.

    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
    <link rel="icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">

    I couldn't find header.php in my directory. I read somewhere else to use a plugin... for what? Is it just to handle the upload instead of my FileZilla FTP?

    So the question... Is it really all i need to do to get my favicon to display is put the file in the root directory? What about the code?

    thanks.
