Post How do you disable plugins on a sales page?

I have set up a new sales page on my site and some of the plugins are still showing up on the sales page, like the Google Buzz plugin, the wibiya plugin and the follow me plugin. I am not sure why this maybe the case as it completely destroys the whole point of the sales page.

In the sales page format the Top Navigation above header text buttons still appear with is not what I want at all.

When I turn to a skinny sales page the plugins disappear except the Share to any and google buzz plugin.

    My site is http://www.makegr8moneyonline.com

The fastest easiest way to solve these issues which takes 4 minutes
of work, is to create another wordpress install using the salespage name
as the directory for the install.

No one will ever know and you just use a separate login for the salespage.

Otherwise, you need to check the plugin owners sites or settings to see if you can disable the plugins on a per page basis.

And you'll need to tweak the code a bit to remove the top navbar.

Default How do you disable plugins on a sales page?

    Hi Dan,

    Thanks for this info ...

So I got into Fantastico and create a brand new install with the same blog name but with a directory under the same name as the new page sales page?

However does this mean that I have to delete my page from my present installed blog.

Let's say you named your salespage "salespage"

You would log into fantastico and create wordpress in the directory
    "salespage."

Then all you do is copy the html from your salespage on the original site and paste it into a new page on the "salespage" wordpress install.

Then just delete page from original install.

Default How do you disable plugins on a sales page?

Ok so this would be in the same wordpress install as the present sales page is presently at? Or would this be a completely new install under a separate and new domain name?
I not really following you here... so then I would have a completely different domain name for my sales page?

No new domain name, just a different wordpress install on the same hosting account.

You just install wordpress in a directory via Fantastico, install Socrates and then add your salespage. I can do in under 2 minutes for you if you send me cpanel access.. it's really that easy.
