How to upgrade Beta 2.0 to 2.01

How do I upgrade the Socrates theme without changing settings... When I try it directly but uploading theme, I get "...Destination folder already exist..." If I delete, I presume that I will loose the current settings.

Assuming that you are not using any custom headers or patched changes into the Socrates files, you can follow the upgrade instructions as posted without losing any settings.

1. Select the default WordPress theme
2. Delete the Socrates theme (settings are retained in the database)
3. Upload and activate the new Socrates theme

If you delete the Socrates theme the only thing that will be lost is your header. You will need to pick it out again or upload it again if it was custom, but all your other settings will be retained.

Works perfectly... also did the quick upgrade
to WordPress 3.0 "Thelonious"...

I just uploaded WP 3.0 and Socrates 2.2. When I'm in the WP dashboard, can't seem to find where I can view the site without going up and adjusting the html at the top. with the last version of WP there was a link at the top left that said view site. Any suggestions on where to find this?

I'm sure this must be super easy but I'm not seeing it.

Bob, just click on the actual name of your site and it will take you there. Where it used to have the name of your site and then right next to it was a little button that said "view site" Just click on the name of your site.

OK - thanks. For some reason - I had taken the title of the site out so it was not showing. When I put it back in it worked OK>
