Planning Version 2.2 Features

We are beginning to work on Version 2.2 of Socrates which we hope to release by the end of January. Some of the features we'd like to roll out include

1. Optional WP 3.0 Menu Support (which would be for drop down as well)
2. Single Column Layout
3. Improve container appearance
4. More landing page templates
5. CSS and padding fixes
6. Child theme for custom css
7. Compatibility tweaks

If you have suggestions we welcome them. Bear in mind our goal is to continue to make Socrates one of the fastest to setup and easiest to use premium themes on the market.

The container is the overall border of Socrates. We'll have different options for the border around the entire theme.

Change log with tips on implementing new features in previous versions of the theme?

I've made some extensive updates of my own for my main site, but would love to have support for WP3 drop down menus, especially.

I would like to see/have an option in there to change the width of the left and/or right panels. Not being able to use a prefered size banner due to 10 pixels is painful :-(

Is it possible to put in an option like you have for the upload header graphics perhaps? Looks simple but don't know about the coding.

BTW Dan, what the heck are you doing up at 0426! At least that is what the time of your post comes through on my computer at 1202. Can't sleep? Try reading a recent financial journal...We have a saying here in Aus...Baffle them with Science and Dazzle them with BS. So I wonder what 2011 will REALLY hold for us all?

The sidebar's width can be changed in the css folder, but I would also like to add this option. The coding however is a bit complex.

What do you think about the nav bar like at www.nickjr.com

Seems like I'm seeing more site with this style. It has like 3D wrap look to it, I like it. Anyway to make it an option?

It's just the navbar graphic. We probably want do that as an option but it's easy to customize with Socrates. You just get a graphic made and upload it over current navbar.
