The more complex you make a theme by adding in plugin capabilities, the more problems will evolve. We're really after the newbie niche blogger market.

Dan, I think I'm losing my marbles. I was so sure I'd received notice a few days ago that a new version of Socrates had been released, with new features that include drop-down navigation. I was too busy to deal with it at the time.

But today, when I tried to follow up on it, I found no sign of such an email nor any announcement on the Socrates site.

Did something go out, or did I just have an incredibly vivid dream?

Hi,

Just started a one week trial and hugely impressed with the webinar video. I have looked at so many free themes and biggest problem is that they just don't have any kind of indication of how to set them up.

Regarding suggestions, I don't know if this is already possible, as I've not had time to explore, but for the 'Improve Container' I'd like to be able to have a very minimalist appearance, without such a defined border, easiest thing is to give you a link to the kind of thing I mean: http://cliffcaines.com/

I think of Socrates as somewhat minimalist now, but it's very easy to change the border images.

We give the psd files in the images folder, but all one has to do is change these border images using the psd and upload to the images folder.

socrates/images/bg-top.png
socrates/images/bg-center.png
socrates/images/bg-bottom.png

This will change the entire border of Socrates and offer all kinds of design looks.

It would be nice to have the option to load different contents into the sidebars of different pages. Doubly nice if us non-techies can manage it.
