updates

Hi
I cannot update my wordpress or 3 plugins. I keep getting this message:
Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.0.4.zip…

Unpacking the update…

Could not create directory.: /home/cmakonin/public_html/wp-content/upgrade/wordpress-3.tmp

Installation Failed

Can you help me through this process so I can update please?

I'd change the write permissions on the update folder to 777 (use your FTP program) while doing the updates, then perhaps back to whatever it was before the change. Not sure what the permissions should be left at, but there are probably guidelines at wordpress.org or their forums.

Your host will probably help you with this... it's unrelated to Socrates.

My recommendation is to delete the upgrades folder via FTP

Recreate it and chmod it to 777

And then try to reinstall.
