Changing side bar widgets on individual pages question and also....

Does anyone know how to display different side bar widgets on individual pages/posts or know of a plugin which will do the same thing?

Also, is there a way in which to change side bar background colors so that they differ from the main content/blog area?

I actually posted a useful plugin that will help with this at:

It will let you do it on certain pages, but not all posts and pages.

The easiest way to change the sidebar background colors is to edit the background graphic using a photo editor.

We specifically designed Socrates for readability so it's really designed to be all white.. changing the graphic is the simplest way to change that.
