New to wordpress, question about inserting images

Hey everyone. I'm new to using wordpress, and I'm wondering how I can add an image and then have text directly next to it.

Currently when I do this, the text appears to the right of the image, but right at the bottom of the image. How can I make it so that a full paragraph can be placed next to the image?

You just use the upload/insert image function, and then set your alignment in the settings tab.

If you have an image in your post now, just click the left icon on it, and it will pull up the image options.

Thanks, I find that's it's not very user friendly when it comes to positioning text next to an image. Takes a lot of playing around with and it's difficult to move the text to the exact alignment you want.

It gets easier the more you do. I also learned that once you have your picture in place, use the advanced options of the picture uploader and you can increase the padding. I change mine to 10 and 10. Doing that gives it some nice space between the words and the picture.
