Hello, I'm trying to upload and my own background image to my website and it's not working. I have tried with different images believing it could be the size but it's not working either. Do i need and specific size for my background? every time I hit upload my bar on the top stay spinning and net upload the image or it looks like it uploaded but it doesn't show it up. I'll appreciate any help on this. I'm starting to create websites and this is kinda frustrated. THanks

What is the filename and extension?

Make sure it does not contain numbers, spaces or punctuation and is in gif, jpg, or png format.

I used "background" to identify the filename and is in .jpg format. I got to upload the image into the default images below. But now when i try to choose my file it doesn't take it. it just selects any random color background. I'm trying to do this through safari and firefox. and the same thing. What am i doing wrong?

    Thanks.

Do you have the image option selected above? You can opt for image or color.

Yes, Iverified that. I'm choosing image above and nothing. The weird thing is i decided to choose several images that i've choosen from google and I'm having the same problem. Do u think i have a problem with the theme? Probably I installed it wrong or something. Thanks for your help on trying to figure this out.

It could be a permission problem on the background-images folder.

You can try changing permissions to 777, or you could upload via your media uploader and then just change the css to use that background image.

My guess is it's a permission problem.
