    Default Script Element Alignment

    Hello Dan & Socratians,

    My Site

    I am developing a forex website and trying to add some clock elements to the style. I have them added to the topads.php script but I am having an issue getting them to line up rather than stacking. I am a novice at web development but realize the issue may be solved by creating a table? Does the CSS need to be modified in some way? I know this isn't a Socrates issue but any insight would be appreciated.

    Heres the code

    They will stack like that because each one is in its own DIV. You need to either need to put them all in the same DIV or mess with the DIV positioning.

    I figured that was the issue is it as simple as removing the div tag from the code? do I need to replace the div tag with something else?

    I would recommend backing up what you have now before experimenting. Then I would remove the closing </DIV> from the first block, starting and ending DIVs for the middle blocks and the starting <DIV> for the last one. Then they will all be in the same div. Some further adjustment to the script code might be need.

    Thanks I also wanted to say you were very helpful when you answered a question about turning off WP Supercache to see instant site updates as well. That about made me tear my hair out.

    I tried removing the div tags but it only messed up the page format and didn't align the elements. Do I need to create a container?

    I would need to see what your code looks like now. If you want to send me a PM with admin access to the site I can go in and take a look.

    You could also put the codes in a simple html table.

    <table border="0" bordercolor="" width="600" bgcolor="">
    <tr>
    <td> row 1, column 1 </td>
    <td> row 1, column 2 </td>
    <td> row 1, column 3 </td>
    <td> row 1, column 4 </td>
    <td> row 1, column 5 </td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    How do I remove the padding that shows the background above the header?

    Also I would like to see some heavily modified sites to get and idea of what I can do with socrates.
