    Default No background image

    I know this has been posted before by Rachel, but I didn't have the same situation and still cannot get the background image to work.

    url is http://www.broadwaysingers.org

    I have tried uploading both a jpg and and png but it didn't make any difference.
    The background is white, then when it uploads the image, the background square turns a slightly darker color but no image appears. I save, and there is no background image.

    I have tried reloading the socrates theme, but no difference.

    Any suggestions?

    What is the name of the image you are trying to upload. There is a known issue with images that have punctuation in the file name.

    Remove the number as well, and with backgrounds they will show up in the background grid but not in the background view section.

    So after uploading you need to find the background you uploaded in the grid.

    Changed the file to bway.png.

    Still no background showing up.

    Viewed the updated webstie, but no background image

    1. Can you save any other background and get it to appear?
    2. Can you manually type in: wp-content/uploads
    in Settings > Media and save.. and then try the image?
    3. Can you upload any other image and get it to appear (the file might be corrupted)

    It's most likely a permission error. Did you install Socrates via the dashboard or FTP? And are you willing to PM me wp and cpanel login info?
