    Default wp SUPERCACHE

I successfully installed the new 2.03 SOCRATES yesterday ........

I also tried to delete/disable SUPER CACHE on my WP based website,
in the plugins tab, after snooping around and seeing the list of installed
plugins, the stated plugins in the site do not show WP SUPER CACHE.
does this mean that I did not install it at the time the site was installed?

The "search installed plugins" shows 2 inactive plugins: AKISMET and HELLO
DOLLY (carol channing ..oh please) ........ there are no other plugins
shown. So where is the WP SUPER CACHE?

That means that your host didn't (at least at the time you installed WordPress) install it automatically. Once you have your site setup the way you want it you should install it manually. You should also go to the Akismet site and get an API key to activate that plugin if you are going to allow comments on your site. It will save you from a lot of spam. See
