Selecting placement of ads in sidebar
Hi, when using the widget to place an ad in the primary sidebar, it always pops into the 'next slot' down under what's there already - 'pages' for example. Is it simple to slide the ad to a lower/different position inside the sidebar ? Thanks, paul.

You can reorder the widgets by dragging them to the position you want.

Placement of ads at specific locations in a sidebar.

Thanks Lynn. My question was unclear - i meant to refer to how to place an ad at the Bottom of a sidebar, while having 'Pages'/'RecentPosts'/ - type headings at the top of the same sidebar., but not tight up against them. In other words, is it possible to - maybe temporarily while designing - to have a GAP between top and bottom elements of a sidebar ? By just dragging elements around (text widgets) the order changes, but they are all still pushed up together at the Top of the sidebar - is it that only other ads or content of some kind will push a particular ad down to the Bottom of a sidebar? Summing up: is selected placement of an ad at a specific place in a sidebar possible ? Thanks, paul.

You drag and sort the ads in the sidebar just by dragging and dropping.
You can use Text Widgets for spacing, but you need to add content into them for them to take up space.
You can put simple html code like
<br />
<br />
To create the spacing.
I've never seen an issue with spacing between widgets and it's not been mentioned before. If you can share a link we can look to see if there's any issues.

Thanks v.much Dan - i'll try entering the spaces that way into the widget. I guess it sounds like an odd thing to do ! - but it's not permanent, just a design-tool, for example, to see how a banner-ad would 'look' at the bottom of the main sidebar rather than the top or middle. Off to try now....thanks, paul.

You can also add to the bottom right widget
