Hello.
I just tried installing Socrates 3.0 with WordPress and got the following message:
**************
Installing Theme from uploaded file: socrates 3.0.zip
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme install failed.
***************
This is strange because I looked in the files... and the style.css file is there.
Any idea why this is happening? Please let me know. Thanks.
Jason

Is that because you may have inadvently tried installing it as a plug-in instead of a theme? Just a thought!

Did you unzip the file on your desktop? Is the file name really socrates 3.0.zip or did you edit out the dash in the file name?
I would download a fresh zip from the member's area.. don't touch the file and try uploading.

Hi Dan,
Was out of pocket for a few days and I apologize for the slow response. Yes, I'm using 3.0. I tried switiching to twentyten and got the same thing. For some reason, the right column shifts to the center of the page and covers up the right side of the post. Weird.
Let me know what you think. I can give you my log-in under separate cover or send a screen shot if you need it.

Do you have any plugins that work with the post editor? It's most likely a plugin conflict.

If you search the forum for Child Themes or look at our Socrates > Styling tab you'll see info on creating a child theme for Socrates. That's your best solution.

I may have misinterpreted this, or the email I just got, but it said for upgrading (in the email) that I need to buy 3.0 whereas you said (as quoted above) that the 3.0 upgrade is free for existing customers.
Clarification please?

You are correct,
If you are a costumer already, then you will get lifetime upgrades. The email was intended for Trial users, I'm sorry if somehow your email was still in that list.
