Can't login to Wordpress due to Socrates Error

I'm getting the following error when trying to logon to Wordpress:


Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_add_dashboard_widget() in /home/content/t/m/a/tmacrae1947/html/tlresources/wp-content/themes/socrates/functions.php on line 118

I've FTPd Socrates 2.3 and have the activation code, but of course I can't activate it unless I can log on.

What are my options for correcting this?

I've never seen this error before. Is there a reason you FTP'd. Can you delete and install normally via Appearance > themes

Thanks for your reply. I'm stumped too, obviously, and I'm not too adept at deleting. Is there a pos, sticky or page that you can refer me to? I'm hosted by GoDaddy (I've been with them for years and know I should look at Bluehost).

I see the Socrates folder under wp-content/themes. Do I delete folder completely and then access the download again on your downloads page with my activation code?

If I do this, will my settings from the previous Socrates installation be deleted too?

Lots of questions, I know. Hopefully you can siply refer me to some place where they'll all be answered.

Yes, delete the Socrates folder completely. You shouldn't need to download again. You should still have the original zip file.. if not redownload.

You will not lose settings, just need to reset header.
