New Socrates theme crashed on me

The problem is when I try to change to Socrates WP Theme and when I try to activate it, wp-admin page and whole site crashes and error message appeared:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare pagination() (previously declared in /home/archeryb/public_html/wp-content/themes/socrates/functions/pagenavi.php:2) in /home/archeryb/public_html/wp-content/plugins/GoogleAlertandtwitterplugin/paging.php on line 64

When I contacted support from wp plugin Galert, they pointed to the error in server, but I am not sure about that since WP plugin Galert works fine with other themes.

Any ideas how to make Socrates theme and Galert plugin to "like" each other!!!

I've never heard of the plugin and as there are only 8 total &foreign language results in Google for it, "Google Alert and twitter plugin" not many people have. Not much for Galert either.

Also the error: "Fatal error: Cannot redeclare pagination"
Barely shows up in Google at all for Wordpress.

Please provide as much detail as possible about the plugin.

A link to their support site, and what does line 64 say in the plugin.

I should also add. I would try deactivating the plugin, then activating Socrates and see if it breaks.

To fix you can always rename or move the theme or plugin via FTP or file manager to get back into the site.

the server has all curl modules loaded by default, but any plugin or theme could upload a custom php.ini that excluded the curl modules, this is the only way curl isnt loading, so either you have a custom php.ini somewhere (use your file manager to check your files for one) or else curl isnt really your problem its something else. If you forward this message to the themer they will understand what I mean regarding a custom php.ini most likely. Also if they want to check what modules are loaded we suggest they upload a phpinfo page and thye can see curl is listed

Problem resolved!!!
Galert plugin developer made changes in the plugin code and now it is fully compatible with Socrates 3.0 version.
I upload their new version and Socrates theme did not crushed

That's great. I'm guessing there were other issues with themes which is why he released an update.

I also removed the download link you posted in your post. Never post someones private download link in a public forum.
