You need to follow the upgrade instructions shown on the download page. Part of this is switching to another theme and deleting the old version of Socrates.
-
We have upgrade instructions on the download page. You forgot to delete the older installed. Your settings will be saved except for your header.
-
Yes Dan its clear for us, Thanks.
Please tell us again what has new, this version. I didn't see anything new yet.

You can just visit our members area to read the posts on it at:
http://www.socratestheme.com/downloads/
You can also check the version notes inside the theme zip which explains it.
On the download page there's a setup pdf that explains the changes.
http://www.socratestheme.com/downloads/download
There's also a full thread on the changes here
http://www.socratestheme.com/forum/s...In-Development
I'll be adding a replay of the webinar to the members area in a few minutes as well that explains
the changes.
There's also a full demo of 3.0 that shows the templates and new benefits at:

I just upgraded to 3.02 and lost my header and menu. What exactly I need to do to have them back? What do you mean by "you have to reselect the header"? Where? What do I click? On which page? Better yet. how do I go back.?
Thanks for clear instructions. Where exactly in your "Installation and setup guide" you explain how to "Reselect the header"?

OK
I fixed the header by uploading new file and it works. I need to manually create new menu, I guess. But. I added a video and few images, and text formatting. Fresh in 3.02. They don't show at all?

We have upgrade instructions on the download page. 3.0+ does not use our old Socrates menus as we mention on the download page, and yes, the header just has to be reselected or uploaded at Socrates > Headers
If you had Wordpress menus before you do not need to recreate them, just make sure they are assigned correctly in Appearance > Menus
If you added video, images and text they should be unaffected the theme.
Please share your URL and make sure you do not have a caching plugin enabled.

Thanks
Fixed everything, EXCEPT that famous "Leave a Reply". I did that in previous version, but can't find what used to be two check boxes at the bottom of the page?

Solved and fixed everything. No more questions.
Thanks

Hi Dan / Fred
I gave over the rest of my site to complete to some coders who I want to do some of things that required more work. They have created a child theme prior to upgrading to the new theme, but when it was brought up they said it went ballistic. They have then done several elements one thing at a time and still had a lot of problems.
They will start making some posts to you guys soon about the issues they are having.
Abhishek from Vantage Webtech will be the one communicating with you.
Thanks
Brad
