Adsense Cost Per Click

My choosen niche has a CPC of $3.58

When I was on page 2 of Google I would sometimes get a click and make between $.70 and $1.30 a click.
Now, that I am on page 1 and getting a lot of clicks I only make $.18 cents a click !

I am beginning to think that something dis-honest is going on with Google.

Has anyone else had this same experience ?

I can't help but to wonder if they have something in their Algorithum that makes your CPC go down when you start getting a lot of clicks.

The CPC they display is an average of what the advertisers pay. You get a portion of that. Based on the pagerank of THIER landing page and many other factors that they do not publish, the people paying for the clicks may pay significantly less than the average.
