Magazine theme not pulling images from post

Hi, I am a newbie and i am working on building a site with some autoposts as well as my own posts. I have images that are within my posts yet they don't automatically go into the featured Slider. Please check out my site here. I have the posts selected to go into the "featured" category. Another issue is that the images are not shrinking to thumbnail size and are full size images. Could someone help me on this?

An image also needs to be set as the featured image.

Thanks Lynnth, I thought the template was supposed to do it automatically? I would hate to think that I have to set each and every image as a feature one at a time. How would you set it up where it would take the images without having to do it manually everytime? When I watched the video it said it just autoloads the image? As I said I am a newbie, any help will be great. Thanks again!

I have never seen an instance where it picks the featured image automatically. You could look for a plug-in that might do this. Posts can have multiple images in them so WordPress leaves it to the user to pick which one is featured.

Hey Lynn,

Well I am still having issues with the Featured spot being blank. I have selected the category "feature", I have also uploaded the image and selected "feature image" AND SAVED. Then update. And it still is showing blank. The post seems to be working where the thumbnail is there, but no feature image? Any ideas?

Oh also, would it matter on the slug? it shows feature-3. However, i don't know where it could get to feature-3, because i dont' have a feature-2 or feature slug. If it is that, is there a way to find how to fix that?

Look in the trash for posts and pages. The other two are probably in there. Until you empty the trash this can happen. If you want to send me username and password for the site in a private message I can take a look. DO NOT post them here. That would put your site at risk.

The category for the posts needs to be Featured not Feature. I set that for you on the last three posts but one does not seem to have an image set.

You rock! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure that out. I didn't know you had to make a new catagory named that, because there is a default "feature" category so i was using that. So looks like for anyone who is having trouble like mine to make sure they create a new category named "Featured" with the "D!" THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
