    Default Dropdown Menu Issues

    Hey Dan

    Please visit www.bradrasmus.com and hover over 'Exercise and Lifestyle Coaching' nav button.

    How do I move the dropdown so it's centred instead of to the left? I used Firebug and could see a few things I played around with in css but nothing worked for me.

    Also, the menu goes under the You Tube video. How do I prevent this?

    Thanks mate

    Brad

    I don't see a YouTube video but Flash and the menu is appearing above in FF and IE for me

    If you had YouTube embed code the solution is to add: &wmode=opaque
    to the code.

    Try adding margin-left: 15px; to

    #access ul ul a {
    margin-left: 15px
    ;

    Ah yeah silly me, I meant click on that button / link first then you'll see the YOU Tube video.

    I added the code to the end of the link ie:

    <center><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/z3mjV6D5rbA" frameborder="0" width="640" height="360"></iframe></center>

    became

    <center><iframe src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/z3mjV6D5rbA&wmode=opaque" frameborder="0" width="640" height="360"></iframe></center>

    The video then dissapeared

    The navigation issue worked a treat. Cheers!

    That's an unusual embed code.. usually there are other variables.. If it's the first variable you need to use

    ?wmode=opaque

    Yep the addition of the question mark fixed it.

    Thanks!

    Hey Dan

    Having a similar problem as I had a while ago with another site.

    Trying to make the dropdown underneath coaching services the same width as the coaching services navigation area.

    http://www.bradrasmus.com/testingwebsite/

    Been playing around with css with no success. Want the dropdown to be the same width as well as the grey hover colour that appears as well.

    Thanks
    Brad

    In your access a you've got a padding set to 52 px.. try changing that to around 39.

    Don't forget Firebug.. works great for these situations.

    Thanks mate that's fixed it but it's moved everything back though as well. Meaning I'd adding that padding to make the navigation spaced evenly across the whole bar. I wanted the dropdown menu to match it. So if I put that padding back to before how can I widen the dropdowns? Yes am always using firebug it's great. Every now and then I'm stumped just like the last several forum posts I made all yesterday. Thanks.

    If your goal is to center the navtabs just add something like this.

    .menu-primary {

    padding: 0 0 0 65px;
    }

    Or add a Videos page to the navbar.

    Couldn't see menu-primary by itself.

    I could see

    .menu-primary,.menu-top,.menu-bottomleft,.menu-bottomright {
    list-style: none;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    clear: both;
    }

    and the other ones below.

    All good though I decided to add videos as you suggested and it looks fine. Thanks.
