Images are being displayed twice when a featured image is set.

FYI: socrates 3.03

hello, on my home page where it displays the recent posts, Im seeing my image that was in the post as well as a featured image (if i had set one).
is this the way it is suppossed to be? I ask because in post view, I insert an image at top left... but then I also set the same image as a featured image... (needed to do this for my previous theme)... and in post view, you will not see the fatured image... but when im on home page, it shows my main image and also the featured image.

is this how it is suppossed to be?
if so, I can just go through and delete all of my featured images from all of my posts (which is alot of work. lol)..

Socrates > Settings there's an option to display featured images or not on home page

In Socrates, we use the "featured image" if you're planing to use the magazine templates. If you're not going to use these templates then you don't need to use the featured image.

If you're wondering how the magazine templates look, check out our demo site : socratestheme.com/janbeta

You were probably using something similar to our magazine templates. Check out our demo and let us know if that's what you're trying to do.

Fred, I think he's just using the featured image option on the settings page and has images in the posts.. he just needs to disable it on settings page.

Hi you guys, Thanks for the prompt responses.
I saw the button to click, thanks yep that did it. But actually after doing that, now I get a better understanding of the featured images... so I like how socrates displayes the featured image the same size for each post on the home page (and blog pages and category pages, etc) soooooo I ended up leaving the featured images... lol after all of that. .
but this would cause two images to be displyed, so i just needed to set the "more" tag right before an image on each post so that the post image would not show up.

basically it was user issue (mine) because I didnt really comprehend how to use the featured images along with post images. anyway, I love this latest update with all of these new features (I havent updated in awhile)... Socrates was always incredible, but now its even more amazing. loving how easy it is to make it look so great.
