Thread: Clickbank ID

  1. #1

    Default Clickbank ID

On the wordpress dashboard in the Socrates pulldown menu under layout, there is a field asking for a clickbank ID. I signed up for clickbank, but I can't find out where this ID is at at Clickbank. Where do I find it so I can signup for your affiliate program?

It is the same as the nickname that you use to log into ClickBank.

Is there a way to cloak our ClickBank ID? I've heard that it's best to cloak your ID.

If you hide or cloak your link you can go into footer.php and replace our link with yours.

It could be as simple as using a tinyurl.

We're also releasing a plugin this week which allows you to setup redirect and random links.

Thank you. Perhaps I'll wait for the redirect plug in.

How about if I go to clickbank and choose to promote the products on my site such as Socrates, and get an encrypted hop link. Would I be able to use that?

Yes, but you're still calling attention to the fact it's a clickbank link. You're better off using another redirect.

Default Eagerly awaiting that plug in!

I am still waiting for a plugin that neither draws attention to the fact that we are using clickbank or another affiliate link, and/or reveals our clickbank id as the bit.ly can do if manipulated in a certain way.

Just search in add new plugins for: affiliate links, link cloaker, redirect links.

Also check out "pretty link plugin" there are loads of plugins that will do this.
