Cannot share full URLs on Facebook
I wasn't sure whether to post there here or not, but this problem only started when I switched to Socrates, so maybe someone has an idea of what is happening. Whenever I paste a URL into my Facebook status from my blog, it strips away the post information and will only allow the top domain name. This also happens when someone uses a "Share" button to share on Facebook, only the domain name will link.
In other words, one of my posts is at http://www.racefanonline.com/2012/06...to-kurt-busch/. When I paste that into FB status or share from the blog post using the "Share" button, it only links http://www.racefanonline.com in their FB post.
Have any idea what I may have setup incorrectly? I'm stumped. Thanks in advance.

Also, if I change the permalinks to the default in Wordpress, they post just fine. It also works with post name only. It's just with day and name that it does not work.
And my other blogs using Socrates work fine, just this one I mentioned.

I'm not sure why this is happening but we recommend that you set you permalinks to just postname for SEO purposes and you say that it works OK then. Just a suggestion.

Thanks again, Lynn. Since that is best, I'll just solve this problem by doing what is best for SEO, too, and go with postname permalinks.

So tonight out of the blue it is no longer allowing it with postnames. Any ideas? I paste a url and the preview and link show only my domain name, no link. Help?

I don't know much about the plugin you're using but if you look in the source code you'll see this line in any post.
<meta property="og:url" content="http://www.racefanonline.com"/>
Looks like it's calling it from that..
