Default How do I remove a canonical URL tag and an H1 tag?

I ran an on page optimization report on seomoz and it tells me there are 2 canonical url tag's as well as 2 H1 tags.

I need to remove them and I'm not sure how to do that. I'm running platinum seo plugin with all my sites.

    Ex:

    Thank yoU!

Please use our google search bar above. I typed " remove h1 tag seo" and found many threads already answering this question.

I typed in "remove canonical url tag" and there is nothing in this forum about that. I'm still checking the other threads for where and what exactly to remove for the two h1 tags. Not sure of the code that needs to be removed and if I want to remove it from header.php or somewhere else.

Yes, you are the very first person to ask.

This is built into Wordpress and not the theme. You can manage with an SEO plugin. Just search plugins for "canonical url"

I'd need to know more about what two h1 tags you're talking about.. You can just upload a custom image with no text to remove the header h1, and you can change the page/post titles to h2 in Socrates > Settings

Thanks. I checked wordpress forum and found the suggestion to add this code to the theme functions.php:

    # Remove WordPress' canonical links
    remove_action('wp_head', 'rel_canonical');

    I haven't tested this yet...

    It worked!

    Next....

    On this site:

    http://adderalldosage.net/

I'm showing two H1 tags. How do I change it so the page and post titles are the H1's?

I couldn't find anything that says socrates "settings"....

Are you running Socrates 3.04 or an older version?
