Can't place apostrophes in Title without forwardslash

In the "Site Title" section, when I put "David Eisner's", for example, it shows "David Eisner\'s" and each time I try to fix it, it keeps going back.

What up with that?

Based on this and the other issue you've had I would reinstall Socrates.

I can't duplicate these issues and this has also never been reported..

It could be a plugin conflict as well.

How do I re-install it without losing all my work?

We have upgrade instructions on the download page.

The only thing you need to backup is any custom headers, background or css you've added. All your custom field data is saved in the database.

If you originally uploaded the custom header from your PC you probably still have it and you are set to upload again after the upgrade. If not you can use a FTP program like Filezilla or the cPanel file manager to go to the uploads folder under wp-content/themes/socrates and download the header image to your PC.

Thanks for the quick response. Figure out the header stuff...

However, I deleted the theme and reinstalled it the way it instructs on your website (as opposed to doing it through my host's file manager).

Still have the exact same issues. Can't change the header font size and it won't take the apostrophe out.

Also now, I'm realizing that I can't get the flowplayer plugin to work. Right now it's only playing to audio and no video. To be honest, I haven't tried that plugin on any other blogs but I'm about to so I can see if it's the plugin or the theme. I've tested the video file and it works fine. The two issues from before are much smaller issues than this flowplayer issue. I will let you know.

If you know other good video plugins that you know work (not youtube), can you let me know?

OK, as far as flowplayer goes, it's not the theme, it's either the plugin or something that I am doing wrong.

You probably need to deactivate plugins one by one to see what's causing the issue..

The apostophre problem is strange.. we had an issue with it the first week of release in April, but that was fixed the 3rd week in April.

Got to be some plugin causing these issues.

When you think you've found the plugin do a google search with it's name and look for related problems with: flowplayer and forward slashes
