    Default How do I remove the Search Box from the navbar?

    In Socrates 2.2+ we added an option in Socrates > Layout to disable the search box.

    Goto: Appearance > Editor > header.php

    At bottom of header.php remove this code.

    <div id="im-searchForm">
    <form method="GET" action="<?php bloginfo('home'); ?>/">
    <input type="text" name="s" class="searchBox" id="s"
    onblur="this.value=(this.value=='') ? 'search' : this.value;"
    onfocus="clearText(this);" value="" />
    <input type="image" id="searchBtn" name="searchBtn"
    src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/images/search.png"
    onmouseover="this.src='<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/images/searchOv.png'"
    onmouseout="this.src='<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/images/search.png'" border="0" />
    </form>
    </div>

    OK Dan,

    that works fine. I tried replacing it with adsense custom search bar & it works for the most part, but the actual search button is misplaced.

    see it at: floname.com

    The button is under the search bar & I've tried a few different things, but can't get it right.

    BTW:

    if I wanted to place that bar in the right sidebar above "categories" how would I do that?

    Help?

    Cheers!

    Your code looks a bit off.. paste the google code exactly as you get it from Google in between <div id="im-searchForm">
    google code here.
    <div>
    .. looks like there's an extra div tag in there and the javascript has a line break.

    Add the code to a text widget and place above categories

    Great Dan! I wanted it to have its place in the sidebar & it looks great now.

    I noticed that on the layout options, there are preloaded clickbank products in the flashing button. How do I change those products?

    Also, the custom products section at the bottom: Is that for clickbank products or custom text/banner links?

    Thanks for your help and for the best wordpress theme EVER!

    You don't change those products, that's the point of us preloading them and they are totally optional. Just leave blank not to display.

    We give you two custom html boxes for your own ads.

    Default Moving the Search box

    Hi, thanks for the theme it is great!

    I don't want to remove the search box but to move it to the upper right corner of the header or to the bottom left corner of the header. That way I can use all the menu bar.

    Can you please tell me how to move it?

    Thank you!

    Find this line in CSS
    #im-searchForm { position:absolute; top:145px; left:748px; width:223px; z-index:5; text-align:right}
    #searchBtn { float:right; clear:none;}
    .searchBox { float:left; font-size:90%; color:#666; width:186px; margin:1px 0px 0px; }
    Adjust the top:145px line.. to move it vertically.

    Thanks!!!

    I also have a recommendation.

    This theme is great for making money on the internet, however it misses one basic thing that people look for when they buy online, a page template for testimonials or at least a nice formatting for quotes, which can be used for testimonials. This will be a great addition!

    Just a thought there.. thanks again
